The estate, on 6.2 acres, originally asked $65 million when it first came to market in 2013. We hear it’s currently in contract to a high-profile mystery buyer for close to its most recent asking price of $36.5 million.
The property includes a 12-bedroom, 12-bathroom main house that was built in 1902 and has since been restored in an energy-efficient, eco-chic way.
There’s also a Peconic Bay-fronting pool, a basketball court, lush landscaping and a pair of guest houses, in case Gere’s guru, the Dalai Lama, drops in.
Need more? How about a private deep-water dock, beach, waterfront pond with a bridge and an “island inspired tea house
All amenities the estate has — according to the listing. Breitenbach declined to comment.
